First Day of School

Macy is a 1st Grader now!

She looks like a real first grader after knocking out her front tooth over the weekend. It was a little loose, but she whacked herself in the mouth at a park. It was traumatic!

Emry was feeling pretty sad that Macy was going to school and she was not. She can't wait to start joy school in a couple weeks. We will miss Macy when she is at school. The girls play constantly together.

Monkey bars are Macy's favorite!

Macy did great at a brand new school! She was a little nervous because she doesn't know a soul. She was brave and will do just fine!

Summer 2013

Wow, what a summer!  Here it is in a nutshell: We moved to North Dakota in June, the girls and I spent a week in KS in July, we had both grandmas visit here in Aug. We terrible miss Pinedale and our friends there.  We have enjoyed getting to know our new area, setting up a brand new house, camping, and meeting new friends and neighbors, vacationing, whew! It was so good to get to see a lot of family this summer.

My Grandma Pokorny's birthday party. It was a very long drive, but it was so nice to be there.

It was so fun to spend a week at Grandma and Grandpa Pokorny's with all the cousins!!!

This water park was a blast!

Reptile Gardens in Rapid City

This giant tortoise was cool until it started walking on Macy. She backed up and fell right into it's pond! She was not a happy girl and was soaked up to her waist!

This cave in SD was really cool. We had a fun day with my parents.

It was a special treat to have Grandma "Honey" and Aunt Stacey here for a week. These are the slippers she made the girls. Adorable!

Christmas 2012

Christmas in Kansas!
We had a great Christmas with the Pokorny Clan in KS! It was fun to all be together...my whole fam! We went to a zoo the day before Christmas and it was really cool! (and cold..burr). The cousins had so much fun at Grandma and Grandpa's house. They had a blast playing together!

Christmas morning was so much fun with everyone there. The kids ripped through the presents fast. Emry was thrilled with this guitar! It was the only thing she asked for. Macy loved her camera and plays with it everyday. Adrie loves her princess"sleekie bag" (sleeping bag.)

Disneyland

For Thanksgiving 2012 we went to Disneyland! We started planning this trip because Emry kept telling EVERYONE "we are going to Disneyland!" She planted the idea in our heads and we made it happen. We took Grandma Honey, Taylor and Stacey (Clay's mom, bro and sis) with us and left Adrie at home with Grandpa Jody.
We got to CA and went to the beach! It was awesome to have a break from winter and snow. We loved the waves, saltwater, seashells, and sand. It was the girls' first time to see the ocean. It was so fun!

Emry outrunning a wave!

We lined up at the gates until Disneyland opened. (I'm talking to Adrie on the phone since this was pretty much the only free minute we got all day). We pushed so hard and went full speed- 5:30 AM to 11PM. We got to go on every ride we wanted and more!
Us girls got to meet the Princesses.
We had Thanksgiving dinner at the princess restaurant while Clay and Taylor rode more rides.

This was the water raft ride that I got drenched on! I just got done making fun of Gail for wearing a ridiculous looking poncho. I think I was the only one who got this wet but I was soaked! It took all day to dry out! I guess I deserved it though!

I love this picture of Emry on the carousel. Pure  bliss!

Halloween 2012

Halloween really is one of our favorite holidays!  The girls have have been planning for a whole year to be princesses this year. I tried to talk them out of it at first (every little girl is a princess!) But then I found these cute dresses and couldn't resist. We like to do a family theme for Halloween. We had three princesses so Mommy ended up being the evil queen "Malificent" (from Sleeping Beauty) and Daddy got to be the prince! (What a handsome prince he made! ) :) We had a lot of fun with all the festivities and trick-or-treating. Adrie really got into it and was so cute with her "ticky teat!" and gracious "tane goo!" (thank you). The best part was her long braid since she doesn't have much real hair yet. She loved the hat and kept it on all night. Macy and Emry were so happy with their costume choice and made great princesses as well!

Trick-or-treating is so fun!

So excited for the Halloween fun!

Kindergarten

Macy was so excited for her first day of school. She has been counting down the days! It was great that she had no inhibitions because it was already hard enough on me. They have to go to all-day kindergarten here. I just think that 7 1/2 hours at school is too long for a five-year-old. Ridiculous! It will take some adjustment for all of us to get used to it. I cried like a baby after dropping her off. We are just going to miss her all day long! Emry asked yesterday "When is Macy coming home? She is taking forever!!" They are such good playmates. It will really change the dynamics here.
The first day went fine...except they sent her home on the wrong bus! She had to ride the whole route and back to the school so I had to wait another HOUR before I could pick her up! It was so sad. She felt bad she was the last kid left on the bus, and she was very tired. I was not very happy and couldn't wait to just hold her. We will get the kinks worked out.  She told me all about the fun things she learned. My little Macy is so grown-up!

Emry's 3rd Birthday

Our Sweet Emry turned 3! She wanted an elephant birthday party. Her request was actually to have "an elephant cake with bad guys killing the elephant and blood coming out." !  Here is the CUTE cake I made instead.  There were no complaints.

We had a fun circus party with lots of friends over. The kids all got tickets they could use to get their face painted, to do an elephant peanut toss game, get some cotton candy and corn dogs. We played "one elephant went out to play." It was a fun time!  Our little Emry is growing up!
