Macy is 2!

Macy had her second birthday on Jan. 24th. We had a fun little party at our house. Her Grandma and Grandpa Pokorny, Aunt Jamie, Uncle Ben and Isaac came for the weekend. Macy has had her "fish" cake picked out for months. She was so excited about this blue cake with fish on it, so she got to help make it. We had a little kids fishing pond and a "pin the fin on the fish" game. She was so excited to open presents and received lots of cute things. Daddy made her a set of blocks with a carrying box. All the kids loved building with the blocks. It was a fun time. I can't believe our little girl is two already! This is Jamie and I comparing our baby bellies! Hers is actually a balloon baby! Her real baby belly is reflective of her being 21 weeks along, but mine looks more like an actual balloon! One of Macy's favorite things to play with is her doll and the doll stroller. The other day Clay helped Macy put ALL of her stuffed animals and dolls in her doll stroller. Then Clay hooked up her four wheeler to pull the stroller. Then she pulled it all around the house. It was hilarious! She is such a fun, active little girl. Here is our little angel, posing for the camera.

Contractors in the making....or almost

We have been super busy the past couple of months putting a garage addition on our home. We are "doing it ourselves" which pretty much means we work til late at night and any spare time we have. We don't really know what we are doing, but are sure learning how to be masons, carpenters, and skilled builders. Lots of family and friends have helped in this huge project and have spent many hours out in the cold with us. Finally, this past weekend we got the project to a stopping point for a while. The roof is on and weatherized! yea! Here is a picture of some of the work. If only we knew in this picture how much work was ahead of us...maybe we wouldn't be smiling. Just kidding. That's probably what we will say looking back at future pictures too.

We are over half way there! Here is a picture of me posing with my growing pregnant belly at the half-way mark (20 weeks). I feel the baby move all the time....it is sooo active. This is the fun part and I'm feeling great!

Macy is such a fun girl. Here are her two favorite things--her dolls and her books. She was having such a fun time reading this book to her baby. She's such a cutie. How did we get so lucky to have this sweet little girl. What a blessing!

Halloween

Here is our little family all dressed up on Halloween night. Clay was supposed to be a hunkie guy from "Grease." Then just before we left he had found these dorky glasses and suspenders. He said he had to let his true colors shine through. Macy loved Halloween and especially getting candy. She made a good little horse and "neighed" loudly when asked what a horse says, sometimes getting down on all fours for the full effect. On Halloween night Pinedale does a lot of community activities; we took Macy downtown to the businesses, then went to a community party with pizza and games. Next we went to the senior center where Macy "neighed", tried to say "trick-or-treat" and then "thank you" to the delight of the old folks passing out candy. Last, we went to the church for games. When we got home at we still had about 30 trick or treaters come to our house.
The week before Halloween we had a costume party at our house. Here are our friends and their cool costumes.

The night after Halloween, Clay and I went to an adult costume party. We dressed up as "Uncle Ben" and "Aunt Jemima." It was a fun time. We just had to scrub our skin for a long time so we wouldn't have to go to church the next day looking grey. :)

Aquarium

Macy and Mommy went to Laramie for cousin Isaac's 2nd Birthday party last weekend. Grandma and Grandpa Pokorny took Mommy, Macy and Isaac to Denver. We went to the aquarium and got to see Uncle Andy. The kids are still talking about both adventures!
Here is Isaac with the jelly fish. Macy will tell you all about the different fish she saw. She loved the turtles, birds, the tiger, sharks, and the sea horses. She had an earful to tell Daddy all about the cool fish we saw. She even got to touch a sting ray! Here are some pictures from our exciting weekend.

Look at these little cuties! Isaac and Macy were so fun together. They are such good playmates. Their favorite thing to do was dance. They would turn on a musical toy and go jump around. Isaac would grab Macy's hand and say "Come on Macy, let's dance!" They giggled and loved it.
Here is Macy with the sea horses!

"Big fish" as Macy says.

Here is Uncle Andy with Macy and Isaac. They loved seeing him!

THE MOOSE HUNT

The best part about this time of year: successful hunts. Clay is a moose killer and a proud one at that. He got this bull on Oct. 6th. They saw a cow moose first, so Clay got off his horse ready to shoot. When this bull walked out he took a shot without hesitating. It was a kill shot. We were happy to see them come home with a full truck! This bull measures in at 33, so Clay is happy with it. Macy is still talking about Daddy and the moose. She is showing us in this pic (with her guns) how Daddy shot it.

"Messy Macy"

One of Macy's favorite things to do now is to be mischievous and make a mess. Then she comes to finds me and tattles on herself, saying "mess!, mess!" I am always afraid to see what I'll find.
The other day I was on a long distance phone call and went into the other room. By time I came back in just a few minutes, Macy had gotten into the pantry and found the pancake mix. She dumped the WHOLE bag on the floor. I found her covered from head to toe. She was having a ball and just loving it! I got a picture, then she got in trouble. This little squirt is so full of energy and fun...we just hope this mess-making stage passes soon. I'm sure our parents won't have much sympathy! They'll say "what goes around comes around."
