Puppies!

Our golden retriever had 10 puppies born on Feb. 15. They are AKC registered and they are all male! They are getting so cute. Macy loves them and could spend hours out in the shed playing with them. She loves to cradle them and sing lullibys. I just had to post some pictures!

Macy is 3!

Happy Birthday to Macy! We had a fun party celebrating Macy's 3rd birthday. She wanted a "Pink Moose" party. I had fun making this pink moose cake. We had the kid party on Friday. Musical chairs with 3-year-olds is a little tricky. They liked the sensory station. I made "moose snot" with this green slime of Macy's and "moose fur" with a stuffed animal, "moose brains" with cold spaghetti and "moose poop" with whoppers. They also made moose from marshmallows, pretzels and chocolate chips. Then they followed the moose tracks around the house to find the treasure which were bags of goodies. It was a fun time.

On Saturday we had a family party w/ grandparents and all. It was special. She loved the gifts and all the attention. We got Macy some pet fish because we thought it would be fun for her. Well, only one of the 3 have survived. She kept sticking her hands in the water. One we found decapitated and the other one...well, we never found it. I don't think she caught it and fed it to her little sister, but she claims she did. Maybe we should have waited a few years for the fish thing. Oh, well.

Macy's First Dance Recital

Macy had her first dance recital over the weekend. She is a little young, but she loves this dancing business! I get to help teach dance so I have Macy in hip hop and ballet. I love teaching and choreographing. Macy looked so grown up. These videos will make you laugh. Like I said, she's a little young. Clay says these videos will work as blackmail when she is older. It was a fun time! This is her "sassy" pose! . Okay, to back up a little...before Christmas the girls and I spent a few days in Nebraska at my parent's house. Jamie and her two boys were there. We all had a blast. It was sooo fun to let the cousins play. I think Macy and Ike have always had a special connection. They play so well together. They loved Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was also fun to see how adorable little Zach has changed too. The trip was worth it to spend time with all of them. Here are some pics I just had to blog. We had a great Christmas. It was so nice to be home for awhile. We got the girls a kitchen set which is all Macy could talk about. She plays with it non-stop. We enjoyed being in Star Valley for a few days. We loved spending time w/ the Kenningtons. Grandma "Honey" made a special nightgown for Macy. She loved it sooo much she never wanted to take it off. She even woke up and asked grandma if she would cut it off so she could wear it w/ pants. :) Here is a pic I got of the sunrise. Star Valley is such a beautiful place!

Hunting, Halloween, and Happy Girls

It has been too long since I've updated this! We have been so busy this fall. I shot the elk this year. I got a cow on Clay's birthday (Oct. 15). It was on the big hunt up Grey's River and it was a lot of fun.
We have been working on getting a wood stove installed. Of course we are doing it ourselves and it is taking an extra long time. At least we have all our firewood cut and stacked.

Halloween was fun this year. Macy was so excited to be a ladybug! She got this trick-or-treating figured out and thought it was so cool. She kept asking why we go to people's house and get candy. I know...kind of a strange tradition. But she loved it and especially loved the candy!

Emry is six months old now. She is such a joy and is happy all the time! She is eating baby food, rolling all around and sitting up. She loves her big sister and is so entertained by her. Emry was a bumblebee for Halloween and she loved the excitement of it all. She will have to wait on the candy until next year. I was a flower (with the bumble bee on me) and Clay was the bee keeper.

Muddy Macy This is just Macy playing in our yard. She always finds a way to change her clothes 5 times a day.

Emry is now 4 months old and is just a bright eyed bundle of joy!

Farewell Piepers! We are really going to miss Ben, Jamie and the boys. They are moving to Arizona this week. We hope they don't melt in the hot sun. We got to spend a couple days with them last week in Laramie. Macy and Ike have been such good playmates since they were born. We are going to miss seeing them often. But we look forward to AZ at Christmas time!

Martin's Cove Trek

We went on a trek at Martin's Cove and Sixth Crossing site with our stake. We pulled handcarts reenacting the Mormon Pioneer migration. It was a lot of fun for our little family. We were in a handcart group with others from our ward totaling 10 people. We camped for 3 nights and walked around 5 miles a day. It was neat to cross the Sweetwater river like the pioneers did and to go into Martin's cove where 56 people died during the winter of 1856. Our girls traveled well. We took turns carrying them or pushing them in the cart.

After our trek we went to Laramie to spend the 4th with my family. We sure enjoyed the last "rendezvous" in Laramie before everyone moves. Macy especially loved the Fireworks and playing with Isaac. Baby Zachary was very cute. We concluded that he and Emry are opposites. She is bald and fat and he is skinny and hairy. It will be fun to watch them grow and change.

Today Macy got her first haircut! She looks so grown up! Here are these pics to show off the new "doo."
